I just think this is so cool, below is a picture of a Martian Dust Devel, moving across the Amazonis Planitia region of northern Mars. Quoting NASA:

An afternoon whirlwind on Mars lofts a twisting column of dust more than half a mile (800 meters) high in an image from the High Resolution Imaging Science Experiment (HiRISE) camera on NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter.

To a cat/dog’s mind, when the people leave, the house gets colder and colder as time goes on, and bottoms out as they lay in the cold house. Then it starts warming back up as it gets closer to when the people get home until, the house is nice and warm and the people are home once again.

Lytro: The Next Revolution In Photography

Most camera’s focus on a single point in your shot and the rest is only sort of in focus or not at all. But those days may come to an end. The new Lytro technology allows the picture to be refocused after the picture is taken, forever, like a living photograph.

Light field technology captures all the light rays in a scene, which allows photographers to focus a photo after it has been taken. In traditional photography, photographers have had to focus the camera first and then snap. Lytro cameras, the company claims, will be able to be perfectly focus photos after the fact, forever into the future.

Below are a few samples of how it works, try clicking around on the pictures to refocus the shot.

Letter’s, a phone number does not make

So the girl and I were going to order from Buca‘s today, but were unable to since their paper menu only has the phone number 651-SPA-GETT. If you look at your BlackBerry, THERE ARE NO LETTERS ON THE NUMBERS!!! (Well there are, but they don’t correspond to the correct numbers) So since I (or work rather) didn’t want to pay 411 for the call, Buca lost out of the sale, and we just ordered from the Green Mill, who dose allow modern phones to call them.

Maybe Buca should move to the modern age and update their menu’s.

Beef Stroganoff

Ingredients

1 (8 ounce) package egg noodles
1 pound ground beef
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1/2 cup sour cream
salt and pepper to taste

Directions

Prepare the egg noodles according to package directions and set aside.
In a separate large skillet over medium heat, saute the ground beef over medium heat for 5 to 10 minutes, or until browned. Drain the fat and add the soup and garlic powder. Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Remove from heat and combine the meat mixture with the egg noodles. Add the sour cream, stirring well, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
